How to get there.
On the south coast between Pt Elliot and Middleton. In Pt Elliot take Strangways Tce off the Victor Harbor-Goolwa Rd, then second turn left into Basham Pde. There is a large carpark at the end of Basham Pde next to the Pt Elliot Caravan Park . There are walking and bicycle tracks which go through the park to the north eastern end where there is also access from Basham Beach Rd, off the Victor Habor-Goolwa Rd.
Hooded Plovers nest along Basham Beach although they are often disturbed by people on the beach not even aware of their presence. Other waders are also seen along the beach. A large range of species are also seen off the beach in the coastal trees and bushes.
